Frequently asked questions
What is a PDH?
A Professional Development Hour (PDH) is the standard unit most licensing boards use to measure continuing education for engineers and surveyors. One PDH generally equals one contact hour of qualifying instruction.
How do I earn credit for a course?
You earn credit by completing the course and passing its assessment. Finishing the material does not automatically award credit — you work through the course and pass the quiz, the way boards expect. You can then download your certificate of completion.
Will my state board accept these courses?
Continuing-education rules vary by state, and you are responsible for confirming what your board accepts before you enroll. We publish state-by-state PDH requirement guides with direct links to each board so you can verify. See our State Requirements pages.
Can I take courses on my phone?
Yes. Every course is mobile-friendly and runs in your phone or tablet browser — no app to install. Start on a laptop and finish on your phone; your progress is saved as you go.
What is included in One-Year All-Access?
One-Year All-Access ($99) lets you take any course in the catalog for a full year from your purchase date. It is a one-time purchase — not an auto-renewing subscription.
Do you offer individual courses and packages?
Yes. Individual courses are priced at $10 per PDH. There is also a 30-Hour PDH Package for $159. Browse the catalog to compare options.
How do I get my certificate?
After you complete a course and pass its assessment, a certificate of completion showing the course title, PDH value, and completion date is available to download from your account.
How do I get help?
